The United States has approved the shipment of the first batch of Abrams tanks to Kyiv. This information was reported by CNN.

“They will be transported to Europe first, then to Ukraine. Spare parts, refueling, and repair equipment will also be sent,” said Doug Bush, head of the U.S. Army's acquisitions office.

Earlier, it was reported that U.S. authorities plan to start delivering Abrams tanks to Kyiv in September. According to media reports, several of this type of military tank are expected to be sent to Germany in August, where they will be modernized. Once this process is completed, the first batch of Abrams tanks is set to arrive in Ukraine next month.
