Zelensky on Attacks Against Ukrainian Ports
Russian ships could be destroyed before the end of the war if the Kremlin decides to continue attacks on Ukrainian ports. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Latin American media, as reported by RBC-Ukraine referring to La Nacion.
The state leader reminded that Russia has blocked the Black Sea and, in particular, Ukraine's territorial waters. “If Russia continues to dominate the Black Sea and block it with missiles, then Ukraine will do the same, which is our just defense of capabilities. If they continue to fire, we have very few weapons, but if they keep firing, by the end of the war they could be left without ships,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, Russian soldiers cannot win now, and that is why they want to put Ukraine in such a deadlock by using weapons and violence. Therefore, Ukraine will unequivocally respond to any attack on civilians and the 'grain corridors'.
The President stressed that Russia is trying to implement a policy of colonization of the Black and Azov Seas, but has no right to determine what Ukraine can produce and export.
