Search Underway for Alleged Drowning Victim in Reservoir Who Went Fishing with Friends
At approximately 14:35, a call was received by the 9-1-1 Crisis Management National Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, reporting that a citizen had entered a reservoir near the village of Gusana, in the Maralik region, and there are suspicions that he may have drowned. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It is noted that a firefighting team from Artik has arrived on the scene with one combat unit. Rescuers are searching for the alleged drowning victim in a marshy area known as Khyalali, using a boat, with assistance from local villagers.
Divers from the special water rescue team of Lake Sevan have also arrived at the scene. Several citizens gathered at the location mentioned that the man believed to have drowned is a resident of the Armavir region, approximately 35-38 years old. He came to fish with friends but later walked towards the reeds and was not seen again, leading to the presumption that he may have drowned.
A response team from the Ani division of the police, led by the on-duty officer, has also arrived at the scene.
