The Parliament Purchased Nearly 4 Million Dram Worth of Cognac in One Month: 'Zhoghovurd'
'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that from July 1 to July 31, the National Assembly of Armenia purchased cognacs for official delegations and organizing foreign visits, amounting to 3 million 872 thousand dram. The purchase was made from 'Vino Vino' LLC, whose owner, Tigran Hamasyan, has ties to Pernod Ricard. It is noteworthy that in April, cognacs worth a total of 10 million 752 thousand dram were purchased from the same company.
During the period from June 1 to June 30 of the same year, the National Assembly also procured spirits for the official reception of delegations and the organization of foreign visits, spending nearly one million dram, with 959 thousand paid to 'Noas Orchards Distilling Company' LLC. This indicates that the accusations voiced by Nikol Pashinyan and his associates against previous administrations and various state structures regarding the wastage of the state budget and ineffective lavish expenditures are also characteristic of their own actions.
