Video: Soldier Who Fled Russia Threatens to Detonate Grenade

In Ufa, Bashkortostan, a soldier who reportedly fled has threatened to detonate a grenade while armed, according to the Baza Telegram channel.

The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Ildar, is facing criminal charges for desertion. He was supposed to be transported for a forensic psychiatric examination today but managed to escape during the transfer.

According to sources, the man called the emergency services and stated that he was at a gas station on the Nagayevo highway, armed with a grenade, and was ready to pull the pin.

Preliminary information indicates that he pulled out the grenade and threatened to explode it unless the criminal charges against him were dropped.
