Fire Breaks Out in Garni, Destroying Shed and Grass Cover; Fruit Trees Scorched

On July 31, at 16:05, the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received a call reporting a fire in the roof of a house on 3rd Street in Garni village. This was stated by the Armenian Rescue Service.

“A firefighting unit was dispatched from the Garni volunteer firefighter-rescue station. It was determined that the fire had started in the roof of a shed located near one of the houses on 2nd Street of the second neighborhood. The fire was contained at 16:47 and extinguished by 17:02. The wooden structural elements of the shed roof (approximately 20 square meters) burned, about 400 square meters of grass cover was damaged, and six fruit trees were scorched,” the report stated.
