Details on the Tragic Car Accident on the Yeraskh Highway

On July 27, at 19:24, the crisis management center of the Ararat regional rescue department received a call about an accident on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, near the bridge in the village of Arevabuyr, where there were casualties and the assistance of rescuers was needed.

A firefighting rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded to the scene.

It was found that at the 17th kilometer of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, a Ford vehicle (driver: A. Kh., born in 1993) had struck a steel barrier along the road.

Before the arrival of the rescuers, A. Kh. and the passenger M. K. (born in 2018) were taken to the Artashat Hospital by local forces, where the latter passed away without regaining consciousness, while A. Kh. was transferred to Yerevan's Erebuni Medical Center.

The rescuers dismantled the steel barrier lodged in the vehicle and removed the car with a tow truck.
