VIDEO. I hope you will convey what you saw here to your capitals, Deputy Foreign Minister to the ambassadors

Today we had the opportunity to observe the situation concerning the impossible unhindered passage of humanitarian cargo through the Lachin corridor. This was stated by Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan during a meeting with diplomats accredited in Armenia on July 28 in Goris.

“But the real crisis continues to escalate in Nagorno-Karabakh. The 120,000 residents of NKAO have been practically blockaded since December 12, for over 220 days now. This is accompanied by severe humanitarian issues. For several months now, energy and gas supplies have been disrupted in NKAO by Azerbaijan, which has caused serious problems on the ground. There has been a severe shortage of food and medicine in NKAO for a long time. Literally all the rights that people should have are being violated in NKAO at this moment, starting from the right to life, the right to education, and the right to receive quality education. It is hard to imagine that such a situation can exist in the 21st century. It is hard to imagine that in such a situation, the international community will not unite its efforts to try to solve the humanitarian crisis, which is escalating by the hour in NKAO,” said the Deputy Foreign Minister.

Earlier, we reported that representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia and international organizations arrived in Kornidzor. They are being accompanied by Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Siunik Region Governor Robert Ghukasian. For the second day in a row, 19 trucks laden with 400 tons of humanitarian cargo have been stranded in Kornidzor, awaiting a response from the Russian peacekeepers and the Azerbaijani side to enter the blockaded Artsakh.
