Ukrainians Really Want a President Like Putin, Says Zakharova

Ukrainians would like to have a president similar to that of Russian leader Vladimir Putin—open, decisive, knowledgeable, and speaking independently, rather than moving under the dictates of Washington. This opinion was expressed by Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The tragedy of the Ukrainian people is that they truly want a president like Putin,” Zakharova stated. She concluded that Ukrainians continually receive leaders appointed by the West.
