Six Killed and 46 Injured in Damascus Explosion: New Details

In Syria's capital, Damascus, an explosion has resulted in the death of 6 people, with an additional 46 injured, according to Vesti-ru. Among the victims are women and children.

The incident occurred in the al-Saidah Zainab suburb, where an explosive device was detonated near a taxi next to a motorcycle, as reported by Syrian state television. The identity of those who placed the explosive device is currently under investigation. It has been reported that the death toll may not be final.

Syrian Minister of Health Hassan al-Ghabash stated that 20 of the injured sustained light injuries and received on-site medical assistance, while the others were transported to hospitals.

He added that 11 ambulances were dispatched to the scene following the explosion.

This marks the second explosion in the area within the last two days, occurring near the Shiite Sayida Zainab mosque. Approximately the same location experienced a motorcycle explosion on July 25, which resulted in two injuries.
