Iranian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Discuss Nagorno-Karabakh

The foreign ministers of Iran and Azerbaijan, Amir Abdollahian and Jeyhun Bayramov, have held a telephone conversation. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Abdollahian assessed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries as positive and constructive.

Bayramov, for his part, emphasized Abdollahian's recent visit to Baku, noting that it has had a positive impact on the relations of the two countries. He expressed gratitude for Iran's constructive stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and provided details regarding negotiations with Armenia and the situation in the Lachin corridor.

Both sides characterized the involvement and presence of foreign powers in the region as unconstructive and stressed the necessity of resolving regional issues through the regional countries and actors.
