VIDEO: We are waiting for a positive response from the Russian peacekeeping forces and official Baku, says Pashinyan

In the context of the humanitarian crisis, a decision was made by the group managing support for the people of Artsakh to send 361 tons of humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh by 19 trucks. This was announced today at the start of the Government meeting by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who noted that the humanitarian aid has reached the Kornidzor area of the Syunik region, near the entrance to the Lachin corridor.

“We have requested that the representatives of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh accept the cargo and transport it to Nagorno-Karabakh, where a humanitarian crisis has been established due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor for about 8 months. However, Azerbaijan is obstructing the entry of humanitarian cargo into the Lachin corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh. This behavior is incomprehensible and unacceptable. Azerbaijan's justification for the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor was that allegedly Armenia was using the corridor for military purposes,” the Prime Minister noted.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, that claim was used as a pretext for the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. “The contents of the 19 trucks sent to Nagorno-Karabakh yesterday are as follows: 100 tons of flour, 80 tons of pasta, 60 tons of sugar, 40 tons of vegetable oil, 40 tons of milk powder, 20 tons of salt, 12 tons of baby food, and 9 tons of medicine.”

“Regardless of our assessments, we are waiting for a positive response from the Russian peacekeeping forces and official Baku, because not allowing the entry of humanitarian cargo into Nagorno-Karabakh will confirm Baku's intentions to commit genocide in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Pashinyan added.
