Video: Fire at Nubarashen Landfill Contained

On July 26, at 17:59, the fire that broke out at the Nubarashen landfill has been contained, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

Approximately 5,000 square meters of accumulated waste was burning. In the construction area of the landfill, efforts were made to extinguish smoldering hotspots within about 30 square meters.

As of 18:00, seven firefighting teams, along with seven water transport units from the Yerevan Municipality, were conducting firefighting operations. A total of 305 tons of water has been used (of which 84 tons were provided by rescuers) and 13 trucks of soil were deployed.

At the scene, three firefighting teams from the Yerevan Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on standby.

It is worth noting that on July 25, at 22:37, the Crisis Management National Center received a call reporting that a fire had broken out at the Nubarashen landfill in Yerevan.
