Details of the Fire Erupting in a Yerevan Building: People Evacuated

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia's rescue service reports that to extinguish the fire that broke out in the center of Yerevan, three fire squads, an aerial ladder, and operational groups have been dispatched to the scene.

On July 20, at 22:11, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call indicating that smoke was visible from the roof of a building on Anton Kochinyan Street in Yerevan. The rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms this information.

Three fire squads from the fire and rescue team of Yerevan have been sent to the scene, along with an aerial ladder and operational groups from the National Center for Crisis Management and the Division for Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization.

In an interview with Auroranews.am, a witness stated that the residents of the building have been evacuated. The fire has already been extinguished. An ambulance is also on-site.

Earlier, we reported that a fire had broken out in one of Yerevan’s newly constructed buildings.
