85-100 Thousand Azerbaijanis to Settle in Armenian Territories: A Door to New Conflict According to Oskanyan
What is being done by the Armenian authorities today could lead to war, stated former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan.
“Enclaves are being granted by Armenia—territories that will significantly affect our security. Approximately 85,000 to 100,000 Azerbaijanis will settle in these areas, which are serious issues. Essentially, Artsakh will be dissolved into Azerbaijan's population, whereas the 100,000 Azerbaijanis coming to Armenia will not dissolve into our society; rather, they will likely dissolve the Armenian population in those regions. This is a completely different problem, and rushing into such a solution after the 44-day war, believe me, will open a door to new conflicts,” he stated.
He insists that the actions of the Armenian government are unrealistic. He again calls on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to either remain silent or resign.
