Quran Burning is Offensive but Legal: Josep Borrell
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has stated that the acts of burning the Quran in European countries are offensive, disrespectful, and provocative. However, within the framework of the European Union, such actions are legal, reports RT.
Borrell expressed a strong rejection of all manifestations that incite religious hatred. He declared that there is no place for racism and xenophobia in Europe. The diplomat emphasized that the EU continues to defend the freedoms of religion and expression. At the same time, he noted that not everything that is legal is also ethical.
Earlier reports highlighted the ongoing acts of Quran burning in Denmark, which are being carried out by radical activists. This time, the action took place near the Pakistani embassy.
