Turkey to Detain Danish Man for Burning Quran

The Ankara criminal court has decided to detain Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Danish political party 'Stram Kurs'.

It is noteworthy that earlier the Turkish Attorney General's office had initiated an investigation against the activist in connection with the burning of the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm on January 21.

The Danish man is accused of publicly insulting religious values accepted by a segment of the population.
