According to meteorologists, temperatures in Southern Europe are predicted to reach new record highs this week. Recent forecasts indicate that temperatures could soar to +44 degrees in the coming days.

The World Meteorological Organization has predicted that these heat waves will persist into August.

In Greece, temperatures are expected to continue rising this week. In Athens, the temperature could reach up to 43 degrees over the weekend.

Evacuation orders have been issued for at least six coastal towns. The Greek meteorological service has warned that there is a high risk of fire this week.

In Spain, temperatures will remain on the rise. In the Guadalquivir valley near Seville, temperatures are expected to reach 44 degrees.
