Double Hit-and-Run in Yerevan: Pedestrian Dies on the Spot

On July 19, a fatal double hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:45, a Suzuki vehicle struck a male pedestrian crossing the street in an unauthorized area near the building at Agatangeghos 28/6.

According to Shamshyan, the pedestrian was thrown into the opposite traffic lane and landed on the windshield of a BMW vehicle, ending up inside the car with his entire body. The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver of the BMW received first aid from the paramedics who arrived promptly and was later transported to the hospital.

The driver of the Suzuki was also taken to the hospital. A criminal investigation has been launched by the investigative division regarding the incident. The police and investigative division are working to establish the identities of the drivers and the deceased. By the investigator's instructions, the vehicles are being impounded in a designated secure area of the police department in Yerevan.
