Video: Heavy Rain in Moscow Causes Damage to Dozens of Cars and Trees
Moscow's emergency services reported that on Tuesday, heavy rain and winds reaching speeds of up to 20 m/s resulted in damage to approximately 30 vehicles.
Preliminary data indicates that nearly 40 trees were broken. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries due to the severe weather.
The central areas of Moscow were hit hardest by the torrential rain. Overall, flooding was recorded in fifty locations within the city.
In less than an hour, the capital received more than a quarter of its average monthly rainfall.
