Response from Russia is Inevitable: Putin on the Crimean Bridge Incident
The events that took place on July 17 at the Crimean Bridge represent yet another act of terrorism by the Kyiv regime, and there will be a response from Russia. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on Monday.
The Russian leader labeled the attack as a senseless crime since the bridge has not been used for military transport for a long time. ‘This is another act of terrorism by the Kyiv regime. It is a crime that makes no sense from a military perspective because the Crimean Bridge has not been used for military transport for a long time. However, it is cruel because innocent citizens have been hurt and killed,’ he said.
According to Putin, Russia will respond. ‘The Ministry of Defense is preparing appropriate proposals,’ concluded the Russian president.
On July 17, the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that two Ukrainian drones attacked the Crimean Bridge near the 145th support point in the Krasnodar region. As a result, the bridge was damaged, and traffic was halted.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, reported that two residents of the area, a married couple, died as a result of the incident, and their daughter was hospitalized.
The Russian Investigative Committee has announced the involvement of Ukrainian special services in the incident at the Crimean Bridge. A criminal case has been opened under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Terrorism’).
