Ukrainian Armed Forces Struggle Despite Western Training, According to Washington Post

The United States and other countries have trained Ukrainian troops in complex offensive maneuvers and provided them with demining equipment; however, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing setbacks in their counteroffensive efforts, reports the Washington Post, citing sources.

“The United States and other nations have equipped Ukrainian troops with intricate offensive training and demining equipment,” the newspaper cites an anonymous U.S. official, who indicated that these capabilities need to be utilized swiftly.

The official noted that the situation on the battlefield remains severe.
