VIDEO: Over 70 Injured and One Dead in Bus Accident in Czech Republic

One person has died and 76 others have been injured in a bus collision in southeastern Czech Republic, according to reports from AP citing local rescue services.

The accident occurred near the city of Brno on the D2 highway, which connects Brno to Bratislava. The buses were traveling in the same direction when one reportedly collided into the back of the other. One of the drivers has been confirmed dead.

Fourteen people with serious injuries were transported to hospitals by helicopter. Traffic on the highway was closed in both directions for several hours, leading to significant congestion.

The causes of the accident are currently under investigation.
