Poland's Ambassador Expected at Georgia's Foreign Ministry Due to Incident with Saakashvili at Clinic
Poland's ambassador is expected at Georgia’s Foreign Ministry. The summons is related to an incident at the 'Vivamed' clinic, where, according to the Georgian side, a Polish doctor attempted to secretly extract biological samples taken from Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, hidden in his shoe.
"For me, it is inexplicable. I have no explanation for the Polish doctor's attempt to remove the biological material since no one prohibited taking the samples, but it should have been done legally," Zurab Chkhaidze, the clinical director of the 'Vivamed' hospital, informed Georgian First Channel.
According to him, only after this incident did Polish doctors officially request biological sampling, which they had previously taken illegally.
Irakli Kobakhidze, the chairman of the 'Georgian Dream' party, stated that the Polish doctor's secret removal of Mikheil Saakashvili's sample from the medical facility was an attempt at forgery and manipulation. "They need to provide an official explanation of what happened and why it was done. This requires a serious investigation," Kobakhidze said.
