Ukraine Denies Responsibility for Assassination Attempts Against Simonian and Sobchak
The official representative of Ukraine's presidential administration, Mykhailo Podolyak, has stated that the Ukrainian authorities have no need to organize assassination attempts against Margarita Simonian and journalist Ksenia Sobchak. According to him, they "absolutely do not influence anything."
On July 15, the FSB of Russia, together with the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, thwarted assassination plots against Margarita Simonian, the chief editor of "Russia Today" and RT, as well as journalist and television host Ksenia Sobchak, allegedly planned by Ukrainian special services.
The Russian Foreign Ministry claimed this was another instance of terrorism against Russian civilians organized by the Kyiv regime, which is carefully sponsored by the West.
Earlier, it was reported that the Federal Security Service and law enforcement agencies prevented the preparation for the murders of Margarita Simonian, the chief editor of "Russia Today" and RT media group, and journalist, presenter Ksenia Sobchak, by Ukrainian special services. The alleged motives for these foiled assassination attempts are tied to their professional activities, according to a statement made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
