Turkey to Accelerate European Integration Process, Says Erdoğan

Turkey is determined to expedite its negotiations for membership in the European Union. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after returning from Vilnius, addressing reporters.

“There is a positive atmosphere in the EU regarding the revival of our European integration process. We will accelerate negotiations on the restoration of relations within the framework of the Customs Union, which will have a positive impact on Turkey's economy. I hope we will achieve success regarding the visa-free regime,” he said.

Erdoğan mentioned that he has sent his chief advisor to Brussels to conduct negotiations regarding European integration.
