For the First Time in History, Artificial Intelligence Creates a Photo Shoot for a Magazine Cover

For the first time in history, artificial intelligence has been used to create the cover of Glamour Bulgaria. This was reported by Gazeta.ru, referencing The New York Post.

32-year-old Lisa Opie, former 'Miss Virgin Islands,' has appeared on the August cover of Glamour Bulgaria dressed in futuristic Barbie clothing.

"My team and I were brainstorming, and we wanted to do a futuristic Barbie theme, as, first and foremost, Barbie is my lifestyle; that's who I am. And considering that the 'Barbie' movie has been released, it was just perfect," she said.

In preparing for the photo shoot, Opie and her stylist Joey Rolon discovered an AI-generated image of a Barbie created by a woman named Fran X. Opie and her team decided to reach out to Fran, who has an Instagram page (owned by Meta, which has been designated as extremist and banned in Russia).

Fran responded positively to the idea of collaboration, and Opie sent her dozens of photos. The artificial intelligence created about 50 images for the magazine cover in approximately 20 minutes.

"It was very, very simple and a lot of fun because sometimes you'd see a look that you hadn’t even thought of, but you liked it more than your original idea," said the model.
