Tragic Accident on Sisian-Spandaryan Highway Claims Life

On July 12, at 04:59, the emergency management center of the Syunik regional rescue service received a report of an accident on the Sisian-Spandaryan highway. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A firefighting and rescue squad from the regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 15th kilometer of the Sisian-Spandaryan highway, a "Ford Transit" vehicle (driver: V.H., born in 1978) collided with a parked "GAZ" truck (driver: A.V., born in 1961). As a result of the collision, the driver of the "Ford Transit" was trapped inside the vehicle.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of the "GAZ" truck was hospitalized at Sisian city hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

The rescuers deactivated the vehicles, shut off the gas valve of the "GAZ" truck's gas cylinder, and extracted the body of the "Ford Transit" driver.
