Record Heat Expected in Europe

Next week, Europe is expected to record unprecedented temperature levels. This information is reported by Reuters. The extreme heat will have detrimental effects on people, animals, and the plant world.

The National Meteorological Monitoring Center of Greece has published its forecasts. On Friday and Saturday, air temperatures are expected to reach up to 43-44 degrees Celsius.

It has been noted that authorities have already deployed ambulances near the archaeological site of the Acropolis in Athens.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has announced that July could be an exceptionally hot month. "Italy, Spain, France, Germany, and Poland are facing the possibility of terrifying heat. In Sicily and Sardinia, temperatures could reach up to 48 degrees, which would mark the highest temperature ever recorded in Europe," the statement reads.

Furthermore, the Greek government has mandated that work be suspended during the heatwave and required that remote work be organized for individuals with health issues.
