The Foundation of Oskanian's Proposal is the Return of the Right to Self-Determination for the Artsakh People: Armen Ashtoyan's Article
First, the foundation of Oskanian's proposal is not a new "personal point," but a return to the very essence of the Artsakh issue, its roots, and the cornerstone—the right of the people to self-determination. This is stated in the article published by the VP of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashtoyan, from the "Nubarashen" penitentiary.
“The lies of Nikol are astonishingly similar to the letters in my cell, just as shameless, unhygienic, disgusting, numerous, and grotesque. It is known that fighting against the letters, like Nikol's lies, requires persistence and consistency; otherwise, they will multiply so much that they will become incompatible with any normal person in the same place. Nikol's lies, like the letters, seep through any suitable natural opening or convenient crevice, from the pro-Kremlin media,” he states.
This filth regularly pours down on us, not only when he opens his rotten mouth but also, for instance, from the pages of the family newspaper, "Hraparak". Recently, I encountered a publication dedicated to Serzh Sargsyan's reaction to Vardan Oskanian's well-known proposal, and on that occasion, the manipulations of the "negotiation legacy" are poorly shaped.
It seemed to have a slightly "higher" level than the chief editor's already trademark museum mini-shorts, and it gave the impression that the "cold bus" Nikol mentioned had passed over the author of these flat theses—Pashinyan—a few times. Agree, it must take complete incompetence to mock others' musical preferences in a newspaper of someone willing to listen to mugham with Mehriban in Shushi, all the while writing with such a talking twaddle running through the article.
Nikol sincerely wonders why Serzh Sargsyan publicly supports Oskanian's proposal, with whom he has never had, to put it mildly, close and brilliant political relations. However, in reality, there is nothing surprising there. Pashinyan and his destructive politics are failing so massively that the past disagreements of people with conscience and dignity fade in comparison. In short, how incompetent and foolish one must be to force oneself to cooperate with otherwise incompatible figures to avoid dealing with oneself.
It is undoubtedly possible to assert that the vulgar nonsense of “if they were resolvable, let them resolve it” is one of Nikol's favorite lies, descending with all its primitive and flat force onto the reader's head. The antidote to that manipulation is very simple and accessible. The legacy left by Serzh Sargsyan was woven around the right of the Artsakh people to self-determination; the Armenian side was never perceived as problematic or destructive in the eyes of the international community due to its statements, and the Armenian armed forces were always ready to repel the Azerbaijani aggressors resorting to diplomatic defeat and battlefield provocation.
The negotiation process has always zigzagged with its activations and dead ends until the moment Pashinyan took it, as the Russians say, под откос. And since the last war, Nikol, who has taken on three deliberate anti-Armenian fatal positions, continues to babble, wriggling like a venomous serpent to temporarily escape the inevitable revenge of the Armenian people.
Since 2021, these three treacherous theses, deepening the disaster, have been: firstly, bringing the Alma-Ata Declaration as the basis for Armenian-Azerbaijani regulations. “Let’s lower the bar” is their scam. As a result, we have a situation where Pashinyan not only did not lower the bar but threw it at our feet. “We lower the bar to have room to raise it later,” babbles Nikol on one of the broadcasts.
The separation of Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations from the Artsakh issue, which, as Ararat Mirzoyan admitted, was precisely an Azerbaijani proposal. In the aforementioned article, we are instead told, “How, do you want to start negotiations from a new point? Have you forgotten when Pashinyan said the same thing? War came upon our heads!” In the place where I am now, people who allow such immorality are called differently, but I will spare your ears and eyes.
Let me emphasize two things: First, the foundation of Oskanian's proposal is not a new “personal point” but a return to the very essence of the Artsakh issue, its roots, and the cornerstone—the right of the people to self-determination. Secondly, regarding Oskanian's proposal or the case of HAYAKV, what new danger of war are you speaking of, when you consistently and willingly hand over to Azerbaijan, yet even in that case, you talk about the new war danger and the prospect of ethnic cleansing?
In short: in solitary confinement, I am forced to watch TV, even the commercials. And it turns out that even Papia, known for rolling out for certain purposes, is now made softer and more pleasant by containing more cotton. And Nikol's "Hraparak" remains just the same old newspaper it has always been.
