Erdogan Announces Russia Will Leave Nagorno-Karabakh by 2025
Until 2025, Russia will leave Nagorno-Karabakh. This statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Vilnius.
After the NATO summit, during a meeting with journalists, President Erdogan responded to a question from an Azerbaijani journalist regarding the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Turkish president noted that according to the agreement, Russian peacekeepers will remain in specified locations in Nagorno-Karabakh until 2025, and by that time, Russia will vacate those areas.
He emphasized his belief that Russia would remain committed to this agreement.
