Pashinyan-Aliyev Meeting May Happen Sooner, Says Security Council Secretary

The meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, scheduled for July 21 in Brussels, may take place sooner than planned. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, in an interview with Voice of America.

The government did not specify whether the previously confirmed meeting dates have changed, promising to provide additional information on the matter.

Yesterday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also announced that high-level negotiations with Armenia will take place in the coming days regarding a peace treaty.

After the June 1 negotiations in Chișinău, President of the European Council Charles Michel announced that the next meeting in a trilateral format with himself, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and the President of Azerbaijan would take place in Brussels on July 21.
