VIDEO: Lawyers Demand Resignation of Police Chief

Today, on July 11, a march by lawyers has started from the administrative building of the Chamber of Advocates towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They have reached the vicinity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and are demanding the resignation of Police Chief Aram Hovhannisyan.

Earlier, a statement released by the Chamber of Advocates noted: "Considering the fact that the police chief, who has been sponsoring horrifying incidents of violence against lawyers, has enmity towards the institute of advocacy, a march is planned towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs demanding the resignation of Police Chief Aram Hovhannisyan, where the 'Enemy of Advocacy' certificate will also be handed over."
