Armed Robbery in Yerevan Sees $80,000 Stolen, Thieves Flee in Toyota
On July 11, an armed robbery occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 01:45, the Malatia police department of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call from a resident of a house on Titov Street, who reported that on July 10, around 23:00, two masked individuals entered his home, tied him and his wife up, and stole cash and gold jewelry.
According to Shamshyan.com, the robbers displayed a weapon and threatened the residents, a couple identified as Harutyun A. and Emma G., stealing nearly $13,000, €8,000, 1,300 Georgian lari, and gold jewelry worth 20 million drams. After obtaining their loot, the thieves fled in a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the homeowner, Harutyun A.
