Ukrainian Citizen Arrested in Poland on Suspicion of Spying for Russia

The authorities in Poland have confirmed the arrest of another individual suspected of spying for Russia, this time a citizen of Ukraine.

Polish authorities regularly report on the discovery of "Russian spies." At the end of June, a hockey player named Maksim Sergeyev, who played in Poland's first league, was arrested.

According to Mariusz Kamiński, Poland's Minister of Interior and Administration, the Internal Security Agency has apprehended another member of a spy network working for Russian intelligence. The suspect was reportedly monitoring military facilities and sea ports.

This marks the 15th person arrested in relation to an investigation into the activities of a Russian espionage network in Poland, according to the Interior Minister.

The prosecutor has charged the suspect with involvement in an organized crime group and engaging in activities on behalf of foreign intelligence against the interests of the Republic of Poland. The press service has reported that the suspects, identified as foreigners from the eastern border, have been conducting both intelligence and propaganda operations.
