This decision shortens our path to NATO: Kuleba
NATO member countries have agreed to eliminate the Membership Action Plan (MAP) for Ukraine, which was a step towards joining the North Atlantic Alliance. This was announced by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Twitter.
“I welcome this long-awaited decision, which shortens our path to NATO,” he wrote.
It is noteworthy that the MAP is a program for admitting new members to the Alliance. The program provides for candidate countries to receive feedback in all key areas related to their actions in preparing for NATO membership and meeting the Alliance's standards.
