Fight Breaks Out After Car Accident: 3 Individuals Stabbed and Hospitalized

An extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik province. On July 9, around 23:00, the Sisian Medical Center reported to the Police Department of Sisian that three citizens had been admitted with bodily injuries.

Police and investigators at the scene identified the victims as 31-year-old Grigor Poghosyan, 29-year-old Tigran Poghosyan, and 72-year-old Valerik Tarverdian, all residents of the Syunik region. While doctors were providing assistance to the injured, law enforcement agencies found that at approximately 19:50 on the same day, T. Poghosyan, driving a VAZ 21043, collided with a Nissan X-Trail driven by 73-year-old Valerik Ghazaryan in the intersection of Israelian and Khanchyan streets in Sisian.

Following the accident, a fight broke out at the scene, during which, under still unclear circumstances, an unknown individual inflicted bodily injuries on G. and T. Poghosyan and V. Tarverdian with a sharp cutting and stabbing instrument. The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary measures to identify the person who caused the injuries and to locate the weapon used in the crime.
