Azov Commanders Returned from Turkey Ready to Participate in War

Denis Prokopenko, the commander of the Azov battalion, has announced that all five commanders released from Azovstal after returning to Ukraine from Turkey are "prepared to do everything possible to end the war." This information was reported by UNIAN.

During a press conference held at one of the military units, when asked whether the commanders plan to return to the front line, he responded: "Of course, that is why we have returned to Ukraine; it is our main goal."

He added, "Today, the most important thing is that the Ukrainian army has taken control of the strategic initiative at the front, and day by day we are advancing, destroying the enemy and liberating temporarily occupied territories. I am confident that we will do everything possible and impossible to accelerate this process so that the war reaches its logical conclusion."

It is worth recalling that earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the return of the five Azov commanders from Turkey, who were released from Russian captivity in September 2022 and were in Turkey under exchange conditions.

The Kremlin has labeled the return of the Azov commanders to Ukraine a violation of agreements both from the Ukrainian and Turkish sides.
