MP Mher Sahakyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, has had the preliminary investigation of charges against him completed and has had an indictment sent to the court. This information is reported by the 'Hraparak' newspaper.
'The case is currently in the preliminary hearings stage of judicial examination. Mher Sahakyan told us that there have been two court sessions so far, both of which have been postponed. Regarding the proceedings of the case, Sahakyan noted that all individuals present during the incident have testified. When asked who has testified against him, Sahakyan replied, 'I don't know about the side opposing me, but in general, everyone who was present – both Vigen Khachatryan, Alkhaz Ghazaryan, and Arpi Davoyan – have all testified.'
It is noteworthy that Mher Sahakyan has been charged in connection with an incident involving the ruling party's Vladimir Vardanyan during a closed session of the National Assembly committee. According to the indictment, 'Mher Samveli Sahakyan is accused of committing hooliganism on March 31, 2023, in discussion hall No. 314 of the second administrative building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, during a closed working meeting of the Committee, and causing minor harm to Vladimir Vardanyan's health due to hooliganistic motives.' The case is being examined by Judge Tigran Voskanian.
