Video: Egyptian Soaks Quran in Champagne, Wipes Feet on Book, Throws it into Ulyanovsk River

An Egyptian man has been filmed pouring champagne over the Quran, wiping his feet on the holy book, and then tossing it into the Ulyanovsk River. This incident was reported by the Telegram channel Readovka.

On the night of July 1, 28-year-old Said Abu Mustafan recorded himself as he soaked the Quran in champagne, wiped his feet on the Muslim holy book, and subsequently threw it into the Sviyaga River in Ulyanovsk. The man shared this footage on social media.

Authorities have already arrested an Egyptian for desecrating the book. It has come to light that Said Abu Mustafan had converted to Christianity several years ago, renouncing Islam, and moved to Russia, where he decided for various reasons to express his hatred towards the religion.

The governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexey Russkikh, condemned the actions of the foreign national, labeling it as a 'crime against everyone.'
