Video: Over 471 Arrested Overnight in France

Riots have continued throughout the night in France. Protesters set buildings and vehicles on fire and vandalized and looted shops.

The Ministry of Interior has mobilized around 45,000 security personnel to suppress the protests. According to BFMTV, as of June 30, 471 people have been arrested. It is also noted that, overall, this night was calmer compared to the previous one.

The TV channel adds that a weapons depot was looted in Marseille last night. Several pistols were stolen. In several cities, protesters continued to loot shops, fire fireworks at the police, and burn trash and vehicles.

It is worth noting that on June 27, a 17-year-old driver in Nantes refused to comply with the traffic police and was shot dead by an officer. His death triggered riots in Nantes, which then spread to other municipalities and major cities in France, such as Dijon, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.
