Ukraine Will Gain 'Much' at Vilnius Summit, But Not the Maximum Expected, Says Lithuanian President

Results of the NATO summit taking place on July 11-12 in Vilnius will not disappoint Ukraine and will provide 'more than usual,' stated Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda in an interview with Lithuanian LRT television.

He expressed confidence that it would be possible to agree on relevant commitments towards Kyiv, despite ongoing intense discussions among the alliance's countries on this matter.

"Yes, indeed... some questions are still unresolved," said the Lithuanian president. Nausėda also mentioned that Ukraine will gain 'much' at the Vilnius summit, but not the maximum it expects.

Earlier, the office of the President of Ukraine announced that Volodymyr Zelensky will only attend the NATO summit if Kyiv receives a response to its application for joining the alliance.
