Artsakh Foreign Minister on the Phone Conversation Organized at Araik Harutyunyan's Request Between Pashinyan and Putin
Similar letters are regularly sent not only to the President of Russia but also to the heads of various international organizations and political figures. This was reported by 1lurer.am.
Artsakh's Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan responded by addressing the letter sent by the Artsakh President to Vladimir Putin, as well as the phone conversation between Pashinyan and Putin organized at his request, which took place on July 5.
According to the minister, during the phone conversation with the Prime Minister, attention was once again drawn to the current situation. “We expect that the Russian peacekeepers will make every effort in accordance with the obligations of the November 9 statement to eliminate the blockade, given that since June 15, there has been no opportunity to transport either food supplies or other essential goods, and only a very limited amount of medicine is being transported through the Red Cross, while the situation inside is becoming increasingly complicated,” the minister elaborated, emphasizing that it is the Russian peacekeepers who must take all necessary steps within their authority.
In response to the question of whether they are taking action, the minister noted that if they were taking action, there would be no blockade. “One of the primary objectives of Azerbaijani provocations is to discredit the Russian peacekeeping mission. But at the same time, we must be realistic; at this moment, the prospect of having another peacekeeping mission is not very high or cannot happen rapidly. It is a serious process,” he said, also pointing out the general crisis in international relations.
When asked what Artsakh expects after appealing to Vladimir Putin, the minister briefly responded, “We are waiting.”
