Thai Woman Awakens During Her Funeral

A woman who was declared dead in Thailand showed signs of life just as her relatives were preparing to bury her. According to Gazeta.ru, this incident involved 49-year-old Chattaporn Srifonlai, who had been hospitalized due to liver cancer. Doctors had warned that her chances of survival were extremely low.

Her daughter, Mali, decided to bring her mother home so she could spend her last days surrounded by loved ones. On June 29, doctors transferred Chattaporn from the hospital to her home, recording her death during the journey, stating that she had stopped breathing.

Mali, accompanying her mother, called relatives to inform them of her mother’s death and to ask them to prepare for a farewell ceremony at the temple and subsequent cremation. The hospital vehicle headed to the temple, where, according to Buddhist tradition, the deceased's body is supposed to remain overnight.

On the way, Chattaporn unexpectedly regained consciousness, and she was taken to a medical facility where treatment continued.
