Section of Abandoned Nursery-School Wall Collapses on Firdousi Street
On July 5, at 2:00 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a collapse in Yerevan's Firdousi Street. This information was provided by the RA Rescue Service.
"A rescue team from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a 3 square meter section of the outer wall of an abandoned nursery-school had collapsed, landing on the roof of a nearby shop (18 square meters), damaging the roof and the shop itself (approximately 9 square meters). There is also a risk of an additional 1 square meter section of the nursery-school wall collapsing; fortunately, there were no injuries," the statement says.
Rescuers have dismantled the wall representing the collapse threat.
