Residents Begin Rebuilding Jenin: New Details
Residents are starting to rebuild the destroyed city of Jenin in Palestine. This is reported by Al Jazeera. It is noted that about 3,000 residents have left the city.
“People are trying to restore electricity, reconstruct the streets damaged during military clashes. They are attempting to return to normal life,” said an Al Jazeera correspondent from Jenin.
It is also reported that the residents are joyfully returning to their hometowns. They “prefer to be here than anywhere else.”
Recall that the Israel Defense Forces conducted an operation early Monday morning, July 3, targeting camps in the Palestinian city of Jenin. The IDF's press service stated that local militants were planning attacks against Israel. During the clashes, 10 people were killed, and 100 were injured.
