65 out of 67 Mosques in Occupied Territories Destroyed, Remaining Used as Stables: Aliyev
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, delivered a speech at the meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, as reported by Azerbaijani media.
He claimed that Armenia has committed urban genocide, cultural genocide, and ecological genocide in the occupied territories, and continues to create cross-border environmental disasters along the border with Nakhchivan.
“Of the 67 mosques in the previously occupied territories, 65 have been destroyed, while the remaining ones have been used as stables for pigs and cows. Furthermore, 60,000 hectares of forest have been cut down and removed, while the land and rivers have been polluted and infected,” stated the autocrat Aliyev.
According to the Azerbaijani leader, Armenia is violating its obligations under the 1991 Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context. This statement comes from the leader of a country that almost daily breaches nearly all the legal provisions of the November 9 trilateral agreement, also targeting the civilian population.
