An explosion occurred in a garage, and the victim is identified as Janan, who was working with a gas cylinder. This was mentioned by Hasmik Tadevosyan, a resident of the Arabkir community, in a conversation with NEWS.am.

“He opened the door and it exploded; the blast threw him onto a car, breaking his arms and legs. They say his condition is very serious. He is a very skilled craftsman. The sound of the explosion was heard as far as Komitas market, and all the windows in the buildings were shattered. We came last night and saw that the cars parked in the yard were damaged,” she said.

Another resident, Vruyr Avagyan, stated that he had been childhood friends with Janan and now lives on a neighboring street. “We are from the next street and heard the explosion last night. We didn’t know where the sound was coming from or what had happened. Later we learned that the gas cylinder exploded in Janan's garage,” he said.

It is recalled that earlier it was reported that on July 3, at 22:10, the Crisis Management National Center received a call regarding an explosion in a garage at 54/1 Komitas Avenue in Yerevan, with casualties reported. Nine vehicles parked nearby were damaged, as well as windows and doors of approximately 33 apartments and entrances, and the outer wall of two balconies; there is at least one injured person.
