Tense Situation in Palestine: Israel Continues Airstrikes on Jenin

The situation in Palestine remains tense. The Ministry of Health of Palestine has reported 9 fatalities, many of whom are young people aged 16 to 23.

Arabic news outlet Al Jazeera reports that Israeli forces continue to strike Jenin with airstrikes and ground assaults.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the Israeli actions, labeling them as a "disgusting crime." The media outlet also presents the opinion of its senior political analyst, Marwan Bishara, regarding the current situation. He criticizes the "empty words" of the international community.

“Israel continues to do what it has been doing for the last half century with complete impunity. Now they have become more aggressive and vulgar,” said a local resident.

In an interview with Al Jazeera's correspondent, one local said that children are terrified.

“I took my family to the shelter late at night. They were in the neighborhood. We woke up to the sound of shelling,” said one of the locals.

It is worth noting that the Israel Defense Forces had launched an attack on a base in the city of Jenin early in the morning. The press service of the IDF stated that local militants were planning attacks against Israel.
