Iran Becomes Full Member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization
Iran has become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was stated in the final declaration of the SCO summit.
It is noteworthy that the SCO was founded in 2001 and includes India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. Belarus still holds observer status, but last July, Minsk applied for full membership.
